Day Workshop with Jo Child

Yoga and the breath.

Breath awareness is key in yoga. How can we harness the breath to free the body in asana practice? And how does asana practice help us to breathe more freely? How do breathing practices affect body and mind - both on and off the yoga mat?

The day will include asana practice, pranayama, and a brief review of the anatomy of breathing. For teachers, there will be an opportunity to discuss how we teach breathing awareness and pranayama. Part of our programme of workshops for experienced yoga practitioners, teachers and non-teachers.

Part of our programme of workshops for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners. Lisa is Director of the two-year London Yoga Teacher Training Course (accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga). The day will include practice, discussion and hands-on demonstration.

Monday evening summer drop-in

A relaxed, mixed ability drop-in class where everyone is welcome. If your regular class has stopped for the summer holidays, this class will help you keep your yoga going!

6.00 to 7.30pm

Taught by Jo Child and Cathie Scotting, who have both trained in the Scaravelli style with the London Yoga Teacher Training Group. Both are also qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga.

Cost £10 per class. Bring a mat. If you are coming by car, give yourself plenty of time to find parking: there is no parking available at the venue.
